Proactive Campaigns for Zendesk - fields mapping is added

Maybe you thought about the possibility of choosing the specific user fields to import to Zendesk. If you did so, then our Proactive Campaigns for Zendesk app will be helpful. Now the field mapping view is available for your convenience when you are importing a user CSV file. Let's scope out where and how to use this feature.

Import a CSV with data syncing

Currently, the import of a .csv file is possible only during the campaign creation. Added field mapping guarantees proper synchronization with your Zendesk instance and data transition without any failures. To match your fields and import data successfully follow the next steps:

At first, you need to go to the Campaigns tab, choose “Create Campaign”, and enter the Campaign name. Then add the needed Tags and click the "Next" button.

You’ll be taken to the Select target list step. There, you'll see the Import Users List tab, just select it.

Note: If you have any doubts about creating the proper CSV file, download and check the sample and compare if your file meets the requirements.

Then, Drag and Drop some files on the marked area.

Or, select the file saved on your device.

After it, the mapping window with your custom and Zendesk fields will appear. Decide what files you want to import and choose the corresponding in the mapping tab. If there’s no need to import a certain field, select “Don’t Import”. Moreover, you don’t have to change any fields in your .csv file, the app just extracts the required data. Make sure you have chosen Name and Email, as these fields are required.

When ready, click Save.

Note: You can always redact the field mapping before you run the campaign, just click the icon with arrows.

Finally, click Next and continue creating your campaign. As soon as the email campaigns process is started, your users with the necessary fields will be imported.
