Why do you need to read/ write all user data?

When setting up Email Tracking for Freshdesk, you will have to grant the app with permissions to read/write all user data. It is required so that the application will be capable of performing such operations:

  1. Updating custom fields (Seen).
  2. Creating respective internal notes when the customer opens an email.
  3. Checking your timezone in order to set the correct time to notes.
  4. Establishing the current number of agents before billing, to revise the cost of your subscription.

All these actions are only possible to do with the required read/write user data permissions.
